Anupam Agrawal is the founder of the Kolkata Chapter of Internet Society and is Chair of the Chapter.He is also member of NASSCOM Internet Working Group, Government of India IPv6 Implementation Taskforce, represents Internet Society in Bengal Chamber of Commerce IT Sub Committee, Co Anchor Data Security Council of India (DSCI) Kolkata Chapter. He was nominated by Internet Society to have a course on Next Generation Leaders Program on Internet Governance and completed his course with Diplo Foundation. He has received fellowship from NiXi, Internet Society, UN & ICANN for representing his view point & talks in many national and International conferences.
He runs a mailing list on IETF participation from India which is an initiative to bring the technical community together and making the presence felt at global level. He is a visiting faculty at Central Detective Training School and mentors students across colleges on Internet Governance. He dreams of India gaining center stage in Internet related policy decisions by equitable participation of all multistakeholder groups.
In his day job at TCS, he is currently part of the Industry Forums and Standards Cell and is responsible for strategic planning and achieving of parameters of benchmarking, speed to value and advocacy.
